Why is there a California Recycling Tax Added to my Order?
By law any California company (including UncleVic.com) that ships product with an LCD screen over 4 inches to consumers in California must also collect the appropriate Electronic Waste Recycling Fee. This fee varies and ranges from $8.00 - $25.00 for items with LCD screens greater than 4". Be good to the earth. And recycle your bottles and cans while you're at it. Effective January 1, 2009 the rates are:
LCD screen greater than 4 inches but less than 15 inches: $8 fee
LCD Screen greater than or equal to 15 inches but less than 35 inches: $16 fee
LCD screen greater than or equal to 35 inches: $25 fee

What does refurbished, open box or recertified mean?
Many of the products that Uncle Vic offers are refurbished or recertified. Some products are listed as "New - Open Box" meaning just that-- the products are in new condition but the packaging or container may be slightly affected. Uncle Vic searches high and low for the highest grade quality refurbished products that have been tested and recertified as like new. Some products may have some minor wear and tear as expected, however, UncleVic.com makes every effort to sell best quality "like-new" refurbished and recertified products. A very high percentage of refurbished products we receive were returned to the manufacturer without ever being used. Because of our long standing relationships with major top brand electronics companies and history in sourcing these products, we get great products at fabulous prices typically well below retail pricing.

Do you ship to Canada eh?
Our system is not set up to ship to Canada yet. However we do have a work around solution in the interim for our Canadian friends. 1) Call +1 (714) 399-2350 between 9:00 am and 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time 2) Ask for sales department 3) Tell us what you'd like to order and provide your shipping address 4) we will quote out the shipping 5) We can take your credit card information over the phone and process your order. Do the products have warranties?
Just about every product we sell includes a warranty. Most warranties on recertified products are 90 days. New products are generally 6 months or one-five years. See the Warranty section on each product page to see designated warranty details.

How does shipping work?
Most products ship within 1-2 business days. Uncle Vic offers multiple shipping options which you can select during the checkout process. Upon placing your order, you will get a tracking number automatically generated via UPS. Orders requiring expedited shipping options such as Overnight Shipping must be placed by 2:00 Pacific Standard Time to get orders shipped same day. Track your shipment by cutting and pasting the UPS tracking number (which we automatically email to you when you submit your order) on UPS' website: www.ups.com. Note: If you are shipping to an address other than your billing address, your order may be delayed as our accounting department will need to review the order prior to shipping. If items are not shipping from our warehouse you may receive multiple shipments from variosu warehouses. We will do our best to notify you in advance if this is the case. You can also log into your account on UncleVic.com to track your order history.

Do you offer price protection?
Frankly if you want price protection pay full retail at one of those large electronics chains. Due to the volatile nature of our business, prices may change at any time and therefore we do not offer price protection.
I shocked my pinky plugging in my new desktop PC. Now what?

I saw a zero price on your website I'll take everything for free.
C'mon now. We all make mistakes. UncleVic.com tries to be as accurate as possible . In the unforeseen event a product is listed with incorrect content and/or pricing, UncleVic.com reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order whether or not the order was processed and credit card charged.
Vic I broke my TV hanging it up on the wall. Can you replace it?
You break you buy. Seriously, please use caution with installing your products especially your TV's and monitors. UncleVic.com will not be held liable for breakage. So whether or not you buy a wall mount from us, please take great care as we cannot replace your broken items. You can buy more of course (at a great price).
Do you sell blueberry pancakes?
No try IHOP. We only sell consumer electronics and related accessories, and sometimes random cool stuff. Examples of products we sell include but are not limited to game consoles, flatscreen TV's, LCD computer monitors, printers, desktop and laptop computers, USB flash drives, CD ROM/DVD burners etc.
